Hays MS Orchestra Interest Form 2026 2027
New students/parents, please complete this form so that you can receive important information about middle school orchestra. Don't forget to also sign up on SPORTSYOU. Instructions are on the Hays Orchestra website. 

Orchestra Try the Instruments: Instrument Fitting Day will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Hays Middle School. This event is for BEGINNING students, who have registered for orchestra,  to get measured for the correct sized instrument. Students may play violin, viola, cello or bass in orchestra class. Each of these instruments comes in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full sizes. It is important to your child's success as a beginner, to be placed on a correctly sized, good quality instrument. (Do not purchase an instrument from Amazon. Details about appropriate instruments will be provided) 

EXPERIENCED STUDENTS (1+ years of continuous study through a private teacher or school orchestra) will need to complete an evaluation audition at a later date. Please fill out your contact info on this form to be notified when the evaluation packets are released.
