Ask a Scientist Volunteer
Are you a scientist who is prepared to engage with the public and others at the March for Science? We're looking for people like you, who are willing to stand on a soap box, lounge on a picnic rug or sit with others to chat about why you are at the March for Science, to talk about science and discuss what you do as a scientist.

We want to make this as fun for you and the others attending the march as possible.

On 22 April, we are convening at Federation Mall at 11am for a rally featuring invited speakers. We will then march in solidarity with cities around the world in support of science!

After the march itself, is the time for us to gather and engage. Here we'll provide you with a space to set yourself up on the grass, your soapbox, a picnic blanket or a camping chair.

We'll try to provide adequate signage so that the public, press, politicians and other scientists can see who are prepared to be an "Ask A Scientist" contributor. If you have your own banner or signage, even better. We'll contact you with templates and a list of possible talking points you may wish to use.

We'll have experienced science communicators at the march who can help you on the day.
