Hi there, The Spruce Eats is looking for new contributors in 2021 as we ramp up content outside of recipes, lists, and how-to guides. We would love to hear story ideas about the themes below. We're open to ideas and are seeking interesting, thoughtful pieces that look at how we eat and cook. They can be deep dives into a food trend, an opus about an ingredient/dish you're obsessed with, profiles on cool makers, cookbook authors, etc.

Things to keep in mind before you pitch: The Spruce Eats aims to be accessible and approachable. We have readers all across the country, so stories should have national appeal. We're not looking for hot takes and don't do dining guides/where to eat type of stuff.

We're not currently looking for recipe development.
