Westland Grade 6 Student Elective Choice Form
Please complete the form below to sign up for an elective class for the 2025-2026 school year.

Students in grade 6 will all take the following required classes.
1) English 6
2) World Studies 6
3) Science 6
4) PE/Health 6
5) Math Course* (determined by teacher recommendation and current course placement)
6) Digital Literacy, Academic Literacy, Read 180 or World Language (determined by MAP-R scores, grade level data, and teacher recommendations)
7) Elective (Instrumental music, chorus, arts rotation)

Parents/students should check the teacher recommendation from the elementary school.      Students should select the course that matches the recommendation for a reading class.   If the recommendation says "No Reading Recommendation", you may select between Spanish 1A/B, Spanish 1A, French 1A/B, French 1A OR Digital Literacy. ***Please note that if your selection differs from your recommendation we will place you in the course that corresponds with your recommendation
