Emory Arts Underground Spring Showcase 2020 Artist Sign-Up
CALLING ALL EMORY AND ATLANTA-BASED ARTISTS! Emory Arts Underground's 7th annual Spring Showcase will take place this year at Emory's Visual Arts Building (700 Peavine Creek Rd NE # 30322, Atlanta, GA 30322) March 20th, 2020 from 7-10 pm. More information will be given on rehearsals to performing artists closer to the date of the showcase.
Each year, our showcase attracts 300+ students in attendance who come together to celebrate art at Emory. Our team works together to transform the given gallery space into an unrecognizable creative gathering where artists can proudly display their talent, and this year is no different! A previous year's show was featured in Creative Loafing:
This year's theme is “Age of Opulence”. This is meant to both celebrate and criticize traditional, elitist art institutions. Our aim is to promote local artists that do not necessarily fit a conventional art-style, and this year’s theme is meant to challenge the traditional gatekeeping of art in large institutions the past.
We have big plans to showcase both visual and performance art with an interactive gallery space, amazing interior designs, and even more amazing student talent!
We accept all forms of artistic expression in the Performing and Visual Arts (including film/media). A member from our Artist Management team will reach out to you following the deadline with more information and a contract detailing expectations :)
