Cabin John Middle School FIRST® Lego League
FIRST LEGO League teams research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology, then compete on a table-top playing field. It all adds up to tons of fun while they learn to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts (STEM), plus a big dose of imagination, to solve a problem. This year’s challenge is “INTO ORBIT.”

We are gathering the names of students who would like to participate in First Lego League at Cabin John this year. Teams of up to 10 kids will be formed from those responding. However, each team needs a coach — could that be you? If we do not get at least one parent volunteering to coach, there can be no team! Also, be aware that every team meeting must be overseen by two unrelated adults, and all students must have a signed waiver to participate.
