Pepperdine's Adopt-a-Dorm: Fifield House
The Adopt-a-Dorm program was developed by the Seaver Parents Program to further build community for incoming students, while simultaneously supporting the efforts of Housing and Residence Life, including the Resident Advisors (RAs) and Spiritual Life Advisors (SLAs), who pour so tirelessly into our students' lives.

As an "adoptive parent" you have five unique opportunities each month to come alongside the residents and staff members in the following ways to help create a warm, welcoming, and nurturing "family" dynamic for all residents involved...

  • Assist: Support the student-identified needs and WISH LIST items
  • Organize: Sponsor a meal/outing for the hall residents. See list of favorites below.
  • Pray: Commit to praying for the specific needs of the adopted house
  • Treat: Send suggested care packages, treats, notes, and love

Fifield has 44 residents

September 2025
September Sign-Up Opportunities
Many students find September to be overwhelming due to their new workload, Recruitment, Abroad Programs applications, and making new friends. Phone calls are great, but FaceTiming is an even better way to connect with your student and really "see" how they are adapting. Regularly keeping in touch with your student helps them to know you're supporting them from afar!

October Sign-Up Opportunities
In October, it is common for students to start feeling the effects of home sickness and physical sickness (due to being away from family, lack of sleep, and shared living spaces.) Encourage your student to make their mental and physical wellbeing as much of a priority as their social and academic lives. Waves Weekend is the perfect opportunity to show support for and be immersed in your student's new community!
