BioLaunch CT operates in two cohorts per year. Four months of on-site training followed by a two-month internship.

BioLaunch CT enrolls New Haven residents who are enthusiastic about opportunities in the field of biotechnology, interested in learning the skills of lab operations, and willing to make the commitment required to complete vocational training. We understand that each person is unique in their experiences and possesses different abilities. Those attributes will be evaluated on an individual basis when determining each applicant’s potential for success in the program. Personal talents, dedication, and willingness to work hard are all important qualities to highlight when applying for admission to BioLaunch.

The program is launching with two cohorts in 2023 – one in the spring and another in the fall – and is targeting 18-26-year-old non-college bound candidates from historically marginalized communities in New Haven neighborhoods of focus.

Both spring and fall cohorts will train four months on-site followed by two months of internship.

Enrollment and success at BioLaunch CT does not require formal training in the sciences. We will provide the basic science skills necessary to work with confidence in technical and research lab settings.
