TEACHER OF THE YEAR: The Queen Anne’s County Teacher of the Year program honors teachers who represent the best in the profession. It provides the opportunity to recognize outstanding teachers who deliver high quality instruction to their students and set high expectations for themselves, their students, and their schools.
To nominate a deserving teacher, the nominator must compile a 100+ word nomination statement* and submit this form by noon on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. You may not nominate a relative.
The teacher must meet the following requirements to be selected as the Queen Anne’s County Teacher of the Year:
Hold state certification in area(s) of assignment, Pre-K through 12th Grade;
Be a current full-time classroom teacher as defined by a teaching contract, to include: specialists, Multi-Language Learners (MLL) teachers, and special education teachers;
Have completed a minimum of six continuous years of exemplary teaching experience within QACPS as of June 30, 2025 (the 2025-26 school year is at least the 7th year) and tenured in Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS); and
Plan to continue in an active teaching status for the 2026-27 school year in QACPS.
