We're looking for art directors, copywriters, creative directors, producers, strategists, UX designers, designers, concept creatives and data analysts who have been off work for at least 15 months and would like to ignite their creative career with support from our partners, which include AMVBBDO, BBH London, M&C Saatchi, Karmarama, AnalogFolk, Grey London, Havas, DDB Remedy, St Lukes, Jellyfish, Adam&EveDDB, MRM/McCann, Wunderman, Huge, Lego, RAPP, Girl Effect, Brilliant Basics, RPM, We are Social, The Marketing Store, MullenLowe, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Uncommon London, Wavemaker, Iris Worldwide, Toaster, Isobel, Geometry, ForPeople, VMLY&R, The Unlimited Group, Geometry, BBC, Unit 9 and The Dots.
This is for women (self-identifying) for this cohort, however, this may change in the future.
London dates (8 days): March 4, 5, 6, 7, 9:30am -2.30pm, March 11, 12, 13, 14, 9:30am -2.30pm, on site at First week's locations: D&AD's offices, off Brick Lane & IBM's offices in SouthwarkSecond week's locations: onsite at our brand partners (Facebook, IBM)
Manchester dates (4 days): March 19, 20, 21, 22 9:30am - 2:30pm (Central location TBC)
The course covers:- Fostering a growth mindset, creative courage and resilience - Trends from the D&AD Awards- What's new in digital and technology (covering voice, search, blockchain, AR/VR, etc)- How to create for social including all the details in between (like short-form ad formats and ad serving) - Take a brief (apply new technology and thinking) - Selling your ideas to a CMO- Pitching and presenting your work - What employers are looking for - Meeting prospective employers After the course, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a two to six week paid contract with one of our partners. We will ensure your day rate is fair and reasonable for your skills and experience.
Some of our partners will also be able to offer you the chance to interview for full time or freelance job roles. They will all be open to flexible working requests.
The course is FREE to you, and furthermore, if you need financial assistance to help cover costs, for example: pre-school childcare or elderly care costs while you're with us, we have a 'Comeback' fund that you can apply for on the form below.
Criteria: - You've been on a career break for at least 12 months (parenthood, illness, caring break, travelling, etc)- You need to be prepared to be work-ready with your support structures in place to be able to attend the course every day (this is also applies to if you secure a paid contract after the training programme) - You must be able to travel into London or Manchester ( whichever is most convenient for you) for the designated days and times.
