Turning Point Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Turning Point. In order to provide any direct services to survivors you will need to go through a state mandated 40-hour advocate training. (Applies to Victim/Advocate Hotline) All other opportunities will have confidentiality training that needs to be completed in addition to any position related training. Victim/Hotline Advocate (provides crisis intervention, emotional support, and safety planning to victims of violent crimes via our Crisis line.
Court Watch (attend Lincoln County Circuit Court hearings and take notes on the process, outcome, and observations. Deliver and debrief information with volunteer coordinator and staff.
Special Project Volunteer (Community Advocacy (posting flyers, promoting events), yard and building maintenance, donation sorting)
Office Volunteer/Internship (clerical work)
