The aim of our workshop series is to provide you with templates and skills you can directly apply to your assignment, academic papers and thesis. The series goes over the whole semester and follow the steps and timeline of a bachelor thesis. The topics are:
- Research Tools (notes): How to use Qualtrics, Zotero, Research Rabbit, Connected Papers, MathPix, and other basic programs. Also get acquainted with university regulations.
- R Beginner (notes): The basics of quantitative analysis in R: dataset management, regression analysis, create and export tables, run descriptive statistics (require previous statistical knowledge)
- Academic Writing (slides): The focus will be on how to make introductions. There will be additional materials on how to structure a paper and each section, what makes good arguments, APA7 and plagiarism. Presented by John Harbord.
- Latex with Overleaf (notes): How to set up a paper on Overleaf, get a APA7 style template, get your in-text reference and bibliography done automatically in one click.
Bonus**: For participants taking the "Full Workshop Series" package, you will have access to the material of our
Research Design (slides)(what is research, how to choose a research topic and formulate it).
