PROGRAM DETAILS: An intense but exciting and interesting three weeks, designed for students entering grades 6 – 9, but including incoming Ellington students who are entering 10th grade.
Vocal Intensive daily classes will include vocal techniques lessons, song preparation, music reading and writing, beginner’s keyboard, movement and acting lessons. This summer intensive track is specifically designed for incoming vocal majors at Ellington. In addition, students aged 10 – 14 who have a sincere interest in being a vocalist/performer would also benefit from this course of study. Younger students and those who are exploring the possibilities of a career in vocal music will find the intensive challenging and practical. On the final day of the Intensive there will be a culminating presentation open to parents and friends at no cost.
