Underground Railroad Tour @ Guilford College Woods
Thank you for your interest in the Underground Railroad Program at Guilford College. We are honored to help steward these stories that are represented of a broad multi-racial coalition for Freedom. The destination of the walk is the Witness Tree, a 250+ Year old Tulip tree that stands majestically in the Guilford Woods and invites us to consider what can we learn from our shared histories?

Please use this form to request a tour with our staff.  Tours are a walking tour in the Guilford Woods. The complete time of the tour is 1.5 hours and participants should come with walking shoes and weather appropriate attire. 

There may be a bit of delay in response depending on what time of the semester it is and how many tours are going out.  

Tours are led by Guilford faculty, staff, students, and community members on a volunteer basis so we may not be able to accommodate all requests or certain dates. 
 
Please note that our tours are aligned with the college schedule, meaning tours will not offered during school breaks and are not guaranteed.
