Moving forward from this year's contract campaign, union members will continue organizing across campus to improve our working and living conditions, both in preparation for our next negotiations and to make concrete changes in between. To achieve this will require the active participation of every member - to get involved, fill out this short form!

Day-to-day & overall organizing

Connect with an organizer to talk more about how I can get involved.

Join an organizing committee in my department and/or develop departmental organizing campaigns.

Join the union-wide organizing committee.

Sign other ASEs up for membership and/or helping with new member orientations.

Participate in organizing trainings.

Join the union Slack to stay connected and coordinate.

Attend the June 10 membership meeting to discuss next steps.

Issue-specific organizing

Build campaigns around housing affordability and tenant action in coordination with UAW members at the University of California.

Organize with others in the UAW Western States immigration workgroup to advocate for a better visa and immigration system in the US.

Join the International Solidarity Working Group: build campaigns and demands on issues related to international and undocumented students, international solidarity, etc.

Join the Anti-Discrimination Working Group: take action around mentorship, EPIC and equity teams, anti-racism and police accountability, accessibility at UW, etc.

Join the Healthcare Working Group: improve accessibility and member knowledge of our healthcare plan, support members experiencing issues, work on issue-specific organizing campaigns, etc.

Join the Economic Justice Working Group: organize around economic justice campaigns like the PRO Act.

Join the Political Working Group: take action in local, state, and national political races and initiatives.

Join the Housing Justice Working Group: organize around tenants’ rights, eviction moratoria, etc.

Join the Climate Justice Working Group: organize around key issues for climate justice locally, at the state level, and nationally.
