The purpose of the SKTLs Space Debris Cleanup fund is literally to fund space debris cleanup. 10% of the tokens held in the Space Cleanup Fund are donated on the first Friday of each May (National Space Day) to fund space cleanup/planetary defense in a process outlined in the SKTL governance document. Five entities will receive 2% of the fund's SKTL holdings. At current prices (2 cents per SKTL), each recipient will receive over $40,000 worth of SKTL tokens on Space Day.

Each recipient can choose to do whatever they want with those tokens after they receive them. There are no holding period requirements (although we hope and believe that each recipient will hold onto their SKTL tokens as the tokens will hopefully grow in value!).

Each application must include the name and email of the person who submitted, but anybody can submit an application for another company, entity, person, etc.
