Students train in squads for all team racing and selections are made closer to the events. TRAINING IN A SQUAD DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PLACE IN THE REGATTA TEAMS. We often have more sailors than places available under team selection. Our experienced sailors offer a great opportunity to those perhaps younger and/or less experienced by training alongside them and if not successful in a team selection, it is considered valuable for their future seasons when they have the chance to step up.
It is understood that many Kristin students are also heavily committed to their club programmes. Kristin team training sessions are planned to meet the availability of all students as best we can but at times compromise is required to reflect the team's needs. Students that need to manage heavy training schedules are required to discuss this with both the external Kristin training programme coaches and Kristin Yachting Manager.
Reporting:Parents are requested to keep the Kristin Yachting Manager up-to-date with club results, particularly on the National and International stage.
TEAMS:Teams will be organised event dependant, and in liason with the Kristin Sport Manager.
TRAINING:Students have the opportunity to train and race in 420's and the Elliott 7's. More information is available through the Sport Manager.

Commitment to SportAll students who wish to play sport at Kristin are required to fully commit to the teams they play for and full attendance at trainings and/games is expected. As part of the registration process all players will be required to sign the relevant registration form, which outlines the commitment expectations for the season. Failure to uphold this agreement may result in players being stood down from games or removed from the team.
