The ISR staff is an example of excellence in Scouting including proudly wearing their BSA or Camp uniform and adhering to ISR standards of personal conduct. The principles of the Scout Oath & Law are practiced as a way of life.
Ingersoll Scout Reservation is operated by the W. D. Boyce Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Candidates that are 14 or 15 years old may apply to be an unpaid Counselor-in-Training (CIT). If interested please complete the Counselor-in-Training Application. CITs may work as many weeks as they are available.
The Camping season typically runs from early June to late July. In 2019, the majority of positions will be employed from June 2nd until July 28th. If you have a conflict with part of the Camping season, please include the dates and explanation as part of your application.
The staff reside in housing provided by ISR and eat with the other staff and campers in the Dining Hall. Salary is based on a tiered schedule that is linked to position responsibility and Ingersoll experience.
If you accept a job at ISR, you must register with the BSA, complete both BSA Youth Protection & Harassment Prevention training, and complete other required paperwork including Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) & Withholding (W-4) forms.
