Raising A Thinking Child
Raising A Thinking Child (RTC) is an evidence-based parenting program for parents and caregivers of children 4 to 7 years of age. RTC has demonstrated effectiveness in developing interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skills in young children, improving parenting skills and parent-child communication, and in decreasing both impulsive and inhibited behaviors in young children. RTC has been listed as a model evidence-based program on the Strengthening America’s Families and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention model programs websites.

This session of Raising a Thinking Child will run for a total of 6 weeks, with each session lasting two hours; it is not appropriate for children to attend with their parent or caregiver. All caregivers are welcomed and encouraged to attend regardless of their specific relationship to the child(ren) they care for, but it is helpful if they have a significant and ongoing relationship with a child between 4-7 years of age.
