2020-2021 Center for Tribal Studies Scholarship
The Center for Tribal Studies scholarship is presented to incoming Native American freshmen. The amount of the scholarship will vary according to financial need and the number of qualified applicants.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to receive the 2020-2021 Center for Tribal Studies scholarship, the student must:
• Be an incoming freshman to Northeastern State University.
• Have proof of tribal membership.
• Participate in the Native American Support Center Mentoring program OR be an active
member in at least one of the Native American student organizations.

Applicants must submit:
• A one-page typed essay.
• Verification of your tribal membership.
• Official high school transcript preferred, but a copy is accepted.
• One letter of recommendation (submit with application).
• Resume
• Completed application form.

Please note that all Native American incoming freshmen are encouraged to apply. If there are extenuating circumstances, please include in your essay stating why this committee should consider these circumstances as extraordinary.
