Interest Form for Harvard/Radcliffe Oral Histories
This form is for all past History concentrators (or people with History as a secondary or a joint) who graduated from Radcliffe or Harvard College to express their interest in being interviewed for the Spring 2021 class, HIST 1636 Intro to Harvard History. Ironically, it's easier to describe the daily experience of a student from the late 1800s than the late 1900s because of the paucity of diaries and oral histories. This project's goal is to record at least 100 oral histories with past History concentrators from both colleges from the 1950s to 2020 to rectify that archival silence. All interviews will be done by current Harvard College students; they'll be recorded, transcribed, printed out on archival cotton paper, and delivered to the Harvard University Archives as part of the permanent records of the institution.

Depending on enrollment in the class, we may not have enough students to interview every interested alumnus/a. That said, should a student reach out to you, do you have roughly two hours of time in Spring 2021 to fill out the required form for the Archives, record the interview, and review the final transcription? *
