Welcome! We are so happy you're choosing to volunteer with WePAC!
Below are the steps to becoming a WePAC volunteer, please read carefully:
Step 1: Fill out a volunteer application using the form below. Please add requested information and any additional information you'd like to share.
Step 2: Once your application has been received, the Program Manager will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview. The purpose of this call is to tell you a bit more about WePAC, the work we do and what it means to volunteer with us, and for us to learn more about you.
Step 3: After the phone interview, the Program Manager will reach out to schedule your new volunteer orientation and place you at a school site. You are able to begin volunteering once we have received your clearances and you have participated in new volunteer orientation.
***A note about clearances: The Philadelphia School District requires three clearances, a certificate, and code of conduct from everyone who works in schools. Do not worry if you don't already have these, we will cover how to obtain all of these in your phone interview and new volunteer orientation. If you have already obtained these clearances in the last five years, please send them to the Program Manager when scheduling your phone interview.
The required clearances and certificates are:
- FBI Fingerprint Record or Waiver
- Criminal Record Check
- Child Abuse History
- Three Hour Mandated Reporter Training
- Volunteer Code of Conduct
We will help you obtain these!
Again, thank you for your interest in volunteering with WePAC. If you have any further questions, please reach out to volunteer@wepac.org and someone will be with you shortly!
