KSEC Spring 2020 Virtual Training Series Registration
Following input from KSEC members and the steering committee, KSEC has decided to cancel our in-person Spring Summit 2020 scheduled for the first weekend of April. In addition, due to the increasing severity of the COVID-19 outbreak and the need for social distancing to arrest its spread, we will be canceling all in-person membership events through the end of May.
In place of Spring Summit, KSEC staff will host several virtual trainings drawn from Spring Summit 2020 curriculum. KSEC Staff would like to offer this program as a way for our members to keep in touch over the next two months. Times for these events will be announced soon.
The theme for this year's summit and for these trainings is Transforming Climate Grief. We'll make space for our feelings on the climate crisis and then learn to cope and overcome. We'll develop our ability to imagine the new world, explore philosophies that can get us there, and learn how to stand in solidarity with groups on the frontlines of environmental injustice.
Accessibility Statement: KSEC does everything in our power to make our events as safe and accessible as possible. All of our venues are fully ADA accessible and climate controlled. Whenever possible we offer gender neutral bathrooms and metal frame, armless chairs. For the latest information about our venue, please check
. We can help set up a carpool, offer a small scholarship, and provide food and housing. We don't turn anyone away for a lack of funds. We also encourage participants to take care of themselves and provide alternative spaces for folks who need time to rest and decompress. If you have additional needs, please reach out and we'll do our best to meet them.
