Call for Proposals: Global Health Centre Events during 73rd WHA
The 73rd World Health Assembly, 17-21 May 2020, is an annual opportunity for the global health community – including governments, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, journalists, scholars, students and the general public -- to learn about and debate emerging and critical global health challenges.

This year the Global Health Centre (GHC) and the UN Foundation will host their annual briefing on the WHA agenda on Saturday, 16 May. Continuing the tradition from previous years, the GHC will also convene a series of ground-breaking, critical discussions with diverse viewpoints, and an evening event to re-introduce the centre under the leadership of its new co-directors, Vinh-Kim Nguyen and Suerie Moon.

As part of the Global Health Centre’s commitment to the principle of open global health, we have launched this open call for proposals for events during the WHA, 18-21 May. These may be breakfast, lunchtime or evening events. We especially seek panel discussions, roundtables, lectures, cultural performances or briefings on topics that explore the GHC’s thematic focus on governance, politics and power in global health.

Please complete this short one-page proposal submission about your event by no later than 11:59pm on Tuesday, 31 March. Proposals will be selected to ensure that the week covers a diverse range of issues. We will contact all applicants in April.

Deadline: Tuesday, 31 March 2020.

Please note that the services provided for hosted events are subject to payment.
