Images and Videos of Children in Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School.
This letter explains why we need to ask you for your consent to any photographs/videos of your child while at Corpus Christi. When you have read the letter, please fill in and return the consent form attached to inform us of your wishes.

Why do we need your consent?

Generally, photographs for school and family use, and those that appear in the press are a source of pleasure and pride. We believe they can enhance self-esteem for children as well as their families and so are to be welcomed. Without your consent, the school will not use images and videos of your child. Similarly, if there are only certain conditions under which you would like images/videos of your child to be used, the school will abide by the conditions you outline in this form.

Who else may use images and videos of your child?

It is common that the school is visited by local media and press, who take images or videos of school events, e.g. sports day. Pupils will appear in these images and these may be published in local/national newspapers and their websites.

The following organisations may use images/videos of your children:

- Diocese of Middlesbrough
- Middlesbrough Diocesan Catholic Voice
- Teesside Gazette
- The Northern Echo

Where any organisations other than those above intend to use images of videos of your child, additional consent will be sought before any images or video is used.

Providing and withdrawing consent

Please read the conditions on the following page and provide or withhold your consent as appropriate by selecting either Yes or No for each criteria. The school will only publish images and videos of your child for the conditions that you provide consent for. We are aware of the fact that for some families, there may be reasons why a child’s identification is a matter of particular anxiety, and if you have special circumstances either now, or at any time in the future which would affect or change your consent on this issue.

Refreshing your consent

This form is valid for the academic year 2020 - 2021 – it will be updated on an annual basis. Parents are required to fill in a new form for their child every academic year.
