Thanks for taking the time to apply to volunteer at FOCUS Wales, taking place in Wrexham across 7th, 8th, and 9th May 2026 within various venues across Wrexham city centre.
We are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our festival team! Whether you have years of experience, or none at all, there is always something to get involved with.
Various paid opportunities are available for those with more experience - let us know if you think you might fancy getting a bit more stuck in!
Please be specific if you have a particular area of interest, for example you could be shadowing a sound engineer across the event, delivering crucial kit and supplies, or working front of house with our Box Office and info team.

VOLUNTEERING AT FOCUS WALES - HOW IT WORKS
- Let us know if you have any preferred areas you'd like to work in/have a go at, and your availability over the festival, Thursday to Saturday using the form below.
- As a guide, most Day Crew (10am to 5pm) will be general information, runner and visible support roles.
- Evening Crew* (5pm to late) are when the action really happens! If you would like real hands-on experience learning alongside our amazing professional crew in show and venue management, sound and light and being in the middle of it all this is the ideal opportunity. We'll pair you with a venue(s) for the festival.
* Please note you need to be over 18 to work Evening Crew shifts.
- we'll have a Crew Briefing before the festival (compulsory for everyone) to introduce everyone to the rest of the team and go through what will be happening across the festival. This will take place on Zoom.
PERKS
All volunteers receive a meal, uniform and, when you're off-duty, a wristband for free entry to any shows with spare capacity that day.
Volunteers will typically be allocated shifts of between 4-6 hours in length over the Thursday to Saturday. Paid roles require longer time commitments.

IMPORTANT: This year we'll require ALL volunteers to have completed an online application in advance, there will not be any opportunity to sign up to volunteer during the event itself.
We will make sure we review every submission we get, and get back to everyone as soon as possible.
