You have been asking for it, and it is finally here! LCTA is proud to offer Japanese Taiko Community Classes for the fall of 2022! To allow flexibility and ease of expectations, these classes will be short in focus, and not based on a progression outside of what you learn that session. Each week is something new!

We have more classes scheduled for the fall, and you can register for one, a couple, or all the sessions!

Thursday's, October 6/13/20/27, 2022

Classes will cover various songs, skills, and drills, and we cannot wait to introduce Taiko to many new faces! Please visit our website at www.LethbridgeTaiko.com or visit our Facebook events page for more details and dates of our upcoming sessions:

Japanese Taiko is an active and movement based musical art form. All movement can be adapted to your personal comfort and ability, and is never a barrier for participation. Comfortable clothing is best, such as gym, yoga, or workout attire. Soft-sole, active shoes are required as you will be on padded gym mats for the session. Earplugs are recommended and will be provided on location. Please bring a water bottle or any other provisions you may require for a two hour (2hr) session. *
Taiko Bay is a ground floor building that is wheelchair accessible, with one, single stall, all-gender washroom. There is no accessibility railing inside the washroom. What can LCTA do to make our space more accessible to you? *
Do you have any medical conditions where disclosure would help us keep you safe during your session? *
LCTA seeks to create a Safer Space for everyone to learn and explore, "free of bias, conflict, criticism, or potentially threatening actions, ideas, or conversations". https://www.mentalhealthcommission.ca/wp-content/uploads/drupal/2019-03/safer_space_guidelines_mar_2019_eng.pdf *
