GHS endeavors to ensure a healthy, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff. Bullying is detrimental to students well-being and is disruptive to the positive and safe learning environment we seek to create at GHS.
Bullying is defined as "a written, oral, or electronic expression or physical act or gesture or any combination thereof directed at a student or students that:
- Physically harms a student or a student's property or causes fear of harm to the student or the student's property,
- Creates an intimidating or hostile educational environment, or
- Is based on a student's actual or perceived characteristics such as: race, color, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, religion, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, age, physical appearance, weight, or family status.
