Senior Sock Hop Volunteer

Join us in making the 46th Ward’s Second Annual Senior Sock Hop a fun, safe, and memorable celebration for our senior community! Volunteers will help bring this special day to life by supporting a variety of event activities designed to uplift, celebrate, and connect with our seniors.

Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Aragon Ballroom – 1106 W. Lawrence Ave

Please note: Volunteers should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the event start for orientation and assignments.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assisting with setup and cleanup before and after the event

  • Greeting and guiding seniors throughout the venue

  • Supporting seniors with walking or navigating the space as needed

  • Helping with seating arrangements and ensuring seniors are comfortable

  • Assisting at food service stations during the banquet-style luncheon

  • Supporting activities, games, and raffle stations

  • Providing general assistance to resource table vendors and performers

  • Ensuring the event space remains clean, safe, and welcoming

  • Offering a friendly face and helping seniors feel celebrated and supported
