About the Project
The Wai Community Health Clinic in Sierra Leone provides vital health services—primarily to women and children—for a population of 4,400 people in nearby villages.
Phase 1: Foundation completed.
Phase 2: Clinic & community kitchen (construction start planned for February 2026).
Phase 3: Staff housing (scheduled for 2027).
The project addresses sustainability including harvesting & storage of rain water, 100% solar photovoltaic, composting toilets, local mud brick walls, etc.
It has been especially rewarding to see village women actively join in the construction—singing in the rain while helping with the foundation!
