About VEX IQ
Parents, students, and coaches have been asking for a easier, more streamed line way for our students to get into robotics. We have found it with VEX IQ.

VEX IQ Focuses on designing, building, programming and driving a robot! This means more time for robot building and less time coordinating skits, presentations, and other non-robot activities that were necessary in our previous programs.

VEX IQ still allows opportunity for non-robotics presentation with their yearly STEM Research project and other optional online challenges however this is not a requirement.

Hill Elementary Competitive Robotics Sign Up Info
Please read the following information and fill out the form below to sign up for the 2017/18 season. Please note that signing up does not necessarily guarantee your student a spot on a team as space is limited by the number of parent/volunteer coaches we have.

$100 per student. This fee includes all team and equipment costs, robot building materials, competition fees and team shirts for students. Registration will be collected TBD.

**NOTE: We're working on a possibility of the $100 fee to be reduced for coach's students on team**

Season Length & Times:
Build season takes place from Late August/Early September through early to mid November/December. Team members and coaches can expect 2 to 5 hours per week working on their robot, project, and presentation, we suggest 2 meetings per week to coaches.

We will do our best to place students on teams that are based with other students from their grade for 4th and 5th grade, we will be mixing 1st-3rd grade teams. Team meeting schedules are set by the coach of each individual team.

Number of Teams:
The total number of teams for each school/program are based off of the number of coaches we have at each grade level. No experience is needed, these programs are designed to have new coaches every season and come with manuals on guides for your team and coaches.

Each team will compete in at least 1 competition.
