Dear CDOEs,
Are you interested in learning more about cardiovascular disease? Would you like to become a Cardiovascular Disease Outpatient Educator (CVDOE)? The CVDOE course is only held when there is enough interest - so if you think you might be interested in attending the CVDOE Certification Course - please fill out the form below to be notified when the next course is held!
As a CDOE, you know that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality in patients with diabetes. You also know that reduction of cardiovascular disease risk factors is a very important part of caring for your patients. Participants in the CVDOE Certification Course will attend two day-long training sessions focusing on the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease in patients with diabetes. After passing the exam, you will be certified as a CVDOE by RI Diabetes Educators. Nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists can earn up to 12.5 hours of live continuing education credits.
