Sponsored by the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, the Educators Lab at AMRoC Fab Lab aims to support the development of a Community of Practice for Tampa Bay teachers.

The goal of this opportunity is to provide space for continued peer-to-peer support, collaboration, and resources for teachers to enjoy creative time together. Participating teachers are invited to enjoy:

1. Quarterly meetings at AMRoC Fab Lab
2. Use of AMRoC Fab Lab mechatronics tools and resources to aid in the exploration of STEAM-focused educational programming and curriculum development
3. Piloting and testing ideas and programs at AMRoC Fab Lab

There is no cost to be part of the Educators Lab or to use Fab Lab resources. * Teachers are also invited to:

1. Host or participate in STEAM focused programs at AMRoC.
2. Contribute SCOPES DF (Fab Foundation Educators library) lesson plans or projects for international engagement and connectivity.
3. Volunteer individually or as a group in FCDI/AMRoC Fab Lab special events (like ROBOTICON, Gulf Coast MakerCon or an AMRoC Fab Lab outreach opportunity) to test ideas or projects.

We believe this is a winning opportunity for all involved: Free access for teachers to Tampa Bay’s only full-service community-based Fab Lab for creative inspiration and productivity, and a curriculum and programming proving ground that benefits youth in a high-needs community in the process.
