The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) will be holding in-person training for private schools interested in registering to participate in the Choice program in the 2020-21 school year.

Topics Covered:  

How to register for the program by January 10, 2020, including:
1. How to complete the Notice of School's Intent to Participate
2. Required school policies
3. Student Information System (SIS) and WISEdata requirements
4. Surety Bond Financial Requirements

Who should attend:

Individuals that will be the private school's Choice administrator. Choice administrators must have at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or a teaching or administrator's license issued by the DPI and either be the owner of the school or appointed as the school's Choice administrator by the school's governing board.

Dates:

November 22, 2019:  9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
December 3, 2019:  9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
December 4, 2019:  1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

While this in-person training is not required for schools to participate in the Choice program in the 2020-21 school year, the DPI recommends interested private schools attend to learn more about the Choice program and the annual registration process. Please register each attendee individually by submitting separate google forms.

Please note that some new schools were required to meet certain requirements by the prior August 1, to be eligible to participate in the 2020-21 school year.
