Hearing and heeding the signs of the times, the Catholic Biblical Association of the Philippines
(CBAP) is hereby issuing this call for papers for presentation in its 27th annual convention with
the theme, “Beat Swords into Plowshares, Be Peacemakers!” (Isa 2:4; Mt 5:9): The
WORD in a World at War,” to be held on September 18-20, 2026.

In a world increasingly marked by war, conflict, division, and uncertainty, this year’s convention gathers biblical scholars, clergy, religious, and lay faithful to reflect on the enduring power of the Word of God as a source of peace, justice, and hope.

In view of this, the CBAP would like to invite you to submit your abstract.
