Dear Author(s),
We invite you to submit a proposal (200 words max) or a completed article (1000–2500 words) by filling out the attached form. For the upcoming European Guanxi publications, the theme is EU-China Diplomatic Channels.
In 2025, having marked the 50th anniversary of EU-China diplomatic relations, this issue invites reflection on that milestone amid a pivotal historical moment for the bilateral relationship. We welcome contributions that examine the formal and informal mechanisms shaping diplomatic engagement between the EU and China. Submissions may explore institutional frameworks, bilateral and multilateral dialogues, crisis management channels, and the role of diplomacy in addressing global challenges such as trade, security, climate change, and governance. Analyses of historical evolution, current tensions, and prospects of EU-China diplomatic relations are all encouraged. Authors may also consider the roles of individual member states, EU institutions, and non-state actors in shaping diplomatic exchanges.
Submissions may be a short pitch outlining your proposed article or a first draft of the piece.
Please note that the deadline for submitting your pitch or draft is March 10 Editor-in-Chief Susanna Aghajanyan or Deputy Editor Stefano Bertoli will contact you if your proposal or draft is selected.
