In the framework of the EU funding project “LIFE LEACHLESS” we would appreciate if you could fill in the present questionnaire that is related to Action C.2. “Monitoring the socio-economic impact of the project actions”.

About the project:

The LIFE LEACHLESS proposed process aims to treat leachate in-situ (in the landfill facilities or Waste Treatment Center), via solar evaporation/condensation, forward osmosis in combination with Renewable Energy sources for example, biomass. The abovementioned system results in reducing effectively the environmental impact associated with leachate generated at management activities. Moreover, it valorizes pollutant effluents by completely reusing the streams generated in the treatment process, with the minimum amount of chemicals. Finally, the proposed system is a universal solution independent of the leachate composition.
The LIFE LEACHLESS pilot system has been installed and operated in the Waste Treatment Center of Lanzarote (Spain), the Zonzamas Environmental Complex. A replication study will also take place in the landfill of Ano Liosia, in Athens.

Expected outcomes:

The following questionnaire’s objective is to evaluate the possibility of replicating the LEACHLESS process model in different case studies, promote the investment of the LEACHLESS technology to possible stakeholders, and to disseminate the project’s outcomes.
