A major component of the YES program is volunteering for 10 hours of community service in your community every month from October through May. At least 5 of these hours must be at the same location. This site is your primary service site. It must give you an opportunity to have a significant impact and build relationships with people you would not normally encounter. Where do you think you would volunteer?   *
Why would you choose that place for your primary service site? *
Local Rotary Clubs are able to sponsor a limited number of students. They provide $1,000 towards the materials for the international service project and $1,000 towards the student's $2,500 program fee. Your are required to raise the remaining $1,500. You can raise the money from family donations, selling YES raffle tickets, or other fundraising activites that you and the other YES team members come up with. Please describe how you anticipate raising the $1,500.
What attracted you to the YES program *    *
What special skills, strengths, and talents could you contribute to the YES team both locally and during the international service project?   *
Volunteering, fundraising, and monthly team meetings can easily require an average of 5 hours or your time each week. You are also required to attend a YES retreat in October and Rotary's YAIL (Youth Adventures In Leadership) annual conference held in B.C. early in the year. What is your plan for fitting these activities into your schedule during the school year
