The Clayton County Energy District (CCED) strengthens its communities by leading, implementing, and accelerating the transition to local clean energy for people of all income levels. When residents spend less of their income on energy, they have more to spend on healthy foods, health care, transportation, educational opportunities, etc. In transitioning to clean energy, the entire community benefits by emitting less carbon into the atmosphere. While everyone needs energy to survive, often disadvantaged community members are most burdened by the cost of energy.
