Registration: First-Generation Student Conference January 2026

All UCR First-Generation in college students, undergraduate and graduate, are welcome to attend.

What is a "conference"? A conference is a day of interactive workshops and conversations where you can learn new skills, hear from others with similar experiences, and connect with campus resources. With 3  presentations happening each hour, you’ll choose to attend sessions that matter to you and walk away with tools you can use right away.  

This Conference celebrates the First-Generation Student experience with interactive presentations and workshops from UCR faculty and staff, and a Resource Fair featuring unique and helpful UCR Campus offices for First-Gen students experience and identity.

As a result of participating attendees will be able to: 
  • examine and/or explore their personal identities, how they intersect and shape who they are;  
  • access and utilize campus resources to assist them in the achievement of their scholarly goals
  • identify and participate in collaborative learning;
  • explore learning experiences that will enhance their personal and professional development.

The Conference will include breakfast and lunch.

  • we encourage you to add the conference to your calendar using this link
  • Registrants will receive email communication with details about the conference the week prior and the week of.
  • Stay tuned on Instagram @ucr_resed and your email for a list of the conference presentations.
Please note: we use registration numbers to determine meals and goodies! If you register, we will consider it as your RSVP and commitment to attend the summit.
