All UCR First-Generation in college students, undergraduate and graduate, are welcome to attend.

What is a "conference"? A conference is a day of interactive workshops and conversations where you can learn new skills, hear from others with similar experiences, and connect with campus resources. With 3 presentations happening each hour, you’ll choose to attend sessions that matter to you and walk away with tools you can use right away.

This Conference celebrates the First-Generation Student experience with interactive presentations and workshops from UCR faculty and staff, and a Resource Fair featuring unique and helpful UCR Campus offices for First-Gen students experience and identity.

As a result of participating attendees will be able to:

examine and/or explore their personal identities, how they intersect and shape who they are;
access and utilize campus resources to assist them in the achievement of their scholarly goals;
identify and participate in collaborative learning;
explore learning experiences that will enhance their personal and professional development.

The Conference will include breakfast and lunch.

Registrants will receive email communication with details about the conference the week prior and the week of.
Stay tuned on Instagram @ucr_resed and your email for a list of the conference presentations.
