2019 Endangered Species Tour
Freshwater Land Trust and the Alabama Tree Farms are hosting a day-long endangered species tour, highlighting six locations in Jefferson County where endangered species have been protected. At each location, a speaker will discuss conservation projects and partnerships and answer questions.
The tour is free for REGISTERED participants.This year, we are providing a shuttle for the first 40 people to register. Limited parking is available at each location for those who need to drive their own vehicle. Please indicate below whether or not you would like (1) to ride the shuttle and (2) a boxed lunch.
DATE & TIME: Friday, October 18 from 9am until 4pm at multiple locations in Jefferson County
SHUTTLE: If you're riding the shuttle, we will meet at Turkey Creek Preserve in Pinson and leave at 8:30 AM. We will drop back off at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve at 3:30 PM, as the final stop of the tour.
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Stops 1, 2, 3, 4
12:30 PM: Lunch at East Lake Park
1:00 - 4:00 PM: Stops 5, 6, 7, 8
