BARBERTON LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION
Through a partnership with Barberton High School and the Barberton Community Foundation, groups and organizations have joined together to offer you an opportunity to apply for scholarships through this one common application. By submitting this application, students may choose to be considered for as many scholarships as they feel appropriate. Please be sure that you meet specifically noted eligibility criteria before indicating your choices.
These applications and the accompanying transcripts will be shared with the different scholarship committees. Answer all questions completely and please note that once you start your application online, you cannot log out and return to finish. Your information will not be saved and you will have to start over.
Some scholarships may also require an interview. If that is the case, an invitation to interview will be given to you with the date and time. All interviews will be conducted at BHS on Mar. 23 and 24. Some scholarships require an additional essay or form to be submitted. If this is so, it will be noted along with the description of the scholarship on your paper copy of the Local Application.
To insure consideration for any of the applied for scholarships the online application must be completed and submitted by Monday February 20th before midnight. Two teacher recommendations and any additional documents are also due to Ms. Spicer by the same deadline. Your Guidance Counselor will submit your transcript for you.
Applications submitted after that date may not be considered. The Senior Scholarships and Recognition Program will be Monday April 17th at 5:30 in the BHS Theater. A hors d'oeuvres reception will follow in the Commons. Invitations for the Senior Program will be sent the week of March 27th.
