WHAT: The Church & Flatbush Holiday Market is the BID's multi-week marketing campaign to attract customers back to the BID for in-store activities, discounts, & holiday shopping!
>To participate, BID stores will be asked to offer something special for several weeks in November & December. That’s it! Cost to you = $0 (except whatever you choose to spend for your in-store promotional activities)
>The Flatbush Ave. BID & Church Ave. BID will create & promote an ad campaign, post an online directory of participating businesses, provide stores with exterior decorations & window signage, & organize sidewalk visits from Santa & live performers. We also hope to offer giveaways for stores to distribute (pending).
WHEN: Every Thursday and Sunday (& the Friday after Thanksgiving) from Sun. 11/15/20 to Sun. 12/20/20.
1. What in-store activity will you be offering every Thursday & Sunday (& the Friday after Thanksgiving) from Sun. 11/15/20 through Sun. 12/20/20? Select as many of the ideas you are interested in or provide your own ideas.
Goodie bags/gifts with purchase
Toys with purchase
In-store DJ or live music (please note that amplified music is not allowed outdoors in the Open Storefronts program)
Beauty makeover or free personal training session
Free hair consultation with coupon for free service if customer returns to purchase salon services
Gift certificate to your store
In-store raffle for specific item
Individualized snacks or water bottles for shoppers
Store-branded mask/individual hand sanitizer with purchase
In-store catwalk of new fashions modeled by store employees
2. Please select all the Holiday Market features which you would like, all of which will be provided by the BID for free.
Campaign poster & counter cards with QR codes
Flag Pennants: Festive pennants for you to hang outside to draw attention to your store (while supplies last)
Restaurants Only: Restaurants are encouraged to offer a discount to any shoppers who can show same day receipts from BID stores totaling $50. These restaurants will be listed in an additional marketing push.
Join the Raffle: Donate 5 gift items OR 5 store coupons worth at least $20 or 20% off. These items will be included in our 5 swag bags which will be raffled off to one shopper each week starting on Sun. 11/22/20.
3. Will you only be offering the in-store activity on certain days/times? Please let us know which days/times OR let us know that you will be offering the activity every Thursday & Sunday (& the Friday after Thanksgiving) during the campaign.
