1. All performers must complete an official Oxford Pride Stage Application Form.2. Performers must ensure their act is family friendly, and are subject to acceptance of the below Terms and Conditions.3. Oxford Pride Group (“Oxford Pride”) reserves the right to request further information from any entrant as to any details of their proposed entry.
ORGANISATION & PUBLICITY4. Oxford Pride reserves the right to position acts in the line up on stage as it sees appropriate.5. Oxford Pride reserves the right to change the start time of the performance, and to cancel the performance at any time. In such circumstances no compensation will be payable to any entrant.6. Entrants hereby agree to participate in any publicity and documentation organised by Oxford Pride in the period leading up to, during and after Pride Day.7. Disputes as to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions will be resolved by the Oxford Pride Chair or H&S Officer, whose decision will be final.
PROHIBITED ITEMS8. No space or surface on an act shall be sold to third parties as advertising space. No printed items are to be distributed to the public without prior authorisation and Oxford City Council licence.9. Entrants must not use; fireworks, sparklers, naked flames, firecrackers, explosives, pyrotechnics or any other items of a similar nature.10. This is a family event - No offensive language, actions or nudity is permitted.
HEALTH AND SAFETY11. Performers must take all reasonable steps to ensure that all relevant requirements of Health and Safety legislation are met during their participation on Pride Day including being prepared with appropriate protection for any adverse weather conditions.
INSURANCE AND INDEMNITY12. Performers shall indemnify Oxford Pride from and against all loss, actions, claims, damages, costs, expenses and liabilities of whatever nature howsoever arising or incurred.13. Oxford Pride shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury incurred by any person (whether an individual or organisation), or to any equipment forming part of an act, or to the property of any person taking part in the day (whether or not such property forms part of an act) at any time during the day howsoever such loss or damage is caused, save only that Oxford Pride does not exclude liability for any personal injury or death caused by the Oxford Pride’s own negligence. 14. Oxford Pride shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim or expense of any nature whatsoever in the event of cancellation of the event for whatever cause or withdrawal of an act under any of the clauses of these conditions.
COMMUNITY RESPECT15. Be kind, respectful and courteous to each other at all times, Pride is a time to celebrate everyone that makes up our community and those who come out onto the streets to support us.17. Please note all our events operate the following safe spaces policy to help create an open and welcoming environment so that everyone feels comfortable and safe at all times. Oxford Pride aims to be an inclusive, safe space for Oxford’s queer community so by adopting the principles below, we hope to ensure that our events are as enjoyable as they set out to be. We ask that everyone respects and adheres to the points below.• Verbally or physically aggressive behaviour won’t be tolerated.• Racism, homophobia, biphobia, sexism, transphobia, disablism or prejudice based on age, ethnicity, nationality, class, gender, gender identity, language ability, intersex characteristics, immigration status or religious affiliation is unacceptable.• Be aware of other people’s physical space and respect other people’s physical boundaries.• Avoid making assumptions about gender, pronouns, sexuality or about whether someone is ‘out’.• Be aware of people’s personal preferences towards photographs being taken. Only take photos of friends or people you know, otherwise, please ask beforehand.18. Enjoy yourselves; Oxford Pride is about celebrating who you are, the more you enjoy yourselves the more fabulous the day will be for everyone!
