Leslie is on the faculty of Sweet Adelines International and Region 8’s Leadership Development Specialist. This role is integral in SAI's new strategic plan with its focus on developing current and future SAI leaders at all levels in all administrative and musical roles. Leslie holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis and a master’s degree in educational leadership. Following a successful 30-year career as a university executive focused on student success, she founded Transitions, LLC, an organization that helps individuals and organizations improve results and reach new levels of performance.
Her journey with Sweet Adelines International began in 1991 when Leslie joined RiverSong (then the St. Joseph (Missouri) Show Chorus, Sweet Adelines International Midwest Plains Region 7). She served three terms as Region 7’s Membership Development Representative (MDR) helping choruses recruit and retain members and to charter new SAI chapters. She was appointed to the International Membership Committee in 1998, where she was instrumental in drafting the inaugural dual membership guidelines. She served simultaneously as her chorus’s membership coordinator leading successful membership recruitment and enculturation programs. In 2013, she was named RiverSong’s front-line director, completed her DCP certification, and helped RiverSong earn consecutive second place Division A placements. Leslie is a regional medalist quartet bass with Odyssey and All That! She was a recipient of Region 5’s “Spirit Award” in recognition of her significant leadership contributions to the region.
Susan has been working in Proximity Marketing for 9 years, specifically Digital Signage and Guest WiFi Marketing and Analytics. She also has a business helping entrepreneurs with their online presence and social media platforms. Susan is currently the Marketing Coordinator for Region 8 and on the Marketing Team for Skyline Chorus. Susan became a Sweet Adeline in 2016 and has jumped in with both feet! Susan brings the best practices and fresh ideas in the ever-changing world of marketing to Region 8.
Chartered Chapter Coordinator for Region 8, Charliece joined Sweet Adelines in 2006 singing with Mountain Jubilee Chorus. Charliece has been active in Mountain Jubilee in many capacities including working on the membership team and for the last several years as chorus treasurer. She has attended many regional and international events and classes that focus on finances and membership development. Always open to finding ways to assist members manage the financial aspect of our hobby, Charliece brings a "let's figure it out" attitude to our region.
