JOB DESCRIPTION:

Non-exempt FLSA position. Reports directly to the General Manager
16 hours per week - $14-$16 per hour

The Marketing Coordinator must have basic knowledge of the arts and will provide support for Visalia Arts Consortium, Inc. (AC). Will address program and project needs as directed by General Manager.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal as well as written communication skills and will be able to market Arts Consortium activities to partners, members, and to the Tulare County arts community and beyond. Must possess excellent computer skills, be efficient, friendly, focused, resourceful, a good problem solver, be able to multi-task, and must be able to carry 50lbs.

Must be proficient in Google (mail, drive, forms, ads, etc.), Microsoft Word, Adobe Suite, Mac and PC computers, Wordpress, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL ARTS CONSORTIUM DUTIES
Develop Membership agenda with Board President
Develop Board of Directors meeting agenda with Board President
Develop Marketing Plans for events, projects, and programs
Expand and maintain AC Business Continuity Plan
Provide additional support for Taste the Arts, SVAT, First Friday, etc.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Maintain websites, AC & MVMC
Maintain social media accounts
Create and distribute monthly AC newsletter
Provide search engine optimization services for AC website
Maintain Google "adwords" postings and account
Update and maintain Eventbrite pages; TTA, SVAT, FF, etc.

MARKETING
Actively recruit new Arts Consortium members
Help recruit individual participants and organizations for AC special events
Create event press releases
Track ads sponsors for events and publications
Deliver “Thank You” letters for Sponsors
Help maintain direct mail list
Seek and use third party community calendars
Seek sponsorships and donations

OUTREACH
Promote Arts Consortium activities throughout Tulare County
Seek partnerships throughout Tulare County
