First Nation Perspective: Chief Vincent Mann; Turtle Clan Chief of the Ramapough Lunaape Nation will share Original Instructions and provide the early history of the Danskammer peninsula as a First Nation gathering place; introduced by Evan Pritchard.
Overview of Workforce Development to promote Just Transition: Ross Gould, Director, Energy and Climate Program Workforce Development Institute will provide case studies including Coal to Sol in Holyoke MA.
Union Perspective: Craig Jacobs, IBEW Board Member, Local 363 (invited) and Rob Pinto, CWA 1120 and Dutchess County Central Labor Council; introduced by Sandy Oxford, Director, Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation.
Importance of Storage: Storage is an essential component of the renewable energy economy. Erin Hazen of GlidePath: In the Town of Ulster, GlidePath reconsidered a proposed a gas-fired peaker plant with battery storage for an expanded the battery storage facility. They are building a large battery storage facility in New Windsor as well.
