Hello Revelstoke! Are you interested in giving back to your community? Do you love local food & gardens, community events and/or education? The Revelstoke Local Food Initiative is looking for volunteers for the 2026 season. Whether you are new in town or a seasoned local who wants to get involved with an organization that makes an impact? We are looking for volunteers for several programs, committees and fundraising events.

Your response will either be sent to specific contractors and program managers to organize your participation, or we will be in touch for general signups as they arise. Thanks so much for your interest in giving back to the community with the LFI!

General garden stewards: Help plant, weed, and maintain community gardens, assist with picking produce and make foodbank donations.

Coop garden participant: Volunteer at the Illecillewaet Garden in exchange for food

Food Commons: Demonstration Farm (Indigenous land stewardship in collaboration with the Indigenous Friendship Society of Revelstoke))

Event Ambassadors: September 19-20 2026: Revelstoke Garlic Festival

Event Ambassador: Farm-to-Table dinner

Summer Farmer's Market Ambassador (Saturdays 8-1 throughout the summer)

Food Skills Mentors: Share your skills by leading a workshop (pitch a topic for the kitchen and/or garden).
