Thank you for your interest in the Romero House Board. While we are not presently seeking new members, if you complete the form below to let us know of your interest in potentially serving as a board member, we will acknowledge receipt.
Some basic information:
We are a board of 8-10 members. We have monthly meetings and committee work between them, usually requiring 6-10 hours per month. Meetings are held at Romero House and some are online. Proximity to Toronto is important. All board members have a commitment to Romero House's way of being, a spirit of care for the community and a willingness/ability to dedicate time and energy in their role. At any one time, we strive to have a board that has diversity of gender, age, and race, includes members who have lived experience as refugees, including former residents/workers of Romero House who have a range of specific skills and knowledge in fundraising, HR, planning, finance, refugee settlement, advocacy, community life and board governance. All the while sharing in the feast of joy, friendship and service that is Romero House.
