Interconnection of Race and Labor History: Past, Present, & Future; Nov. 18th, 2021, 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm
How do we talk to members and coworkers who think differently than us (politics, racial and gender justice, membership, etc...)? Would you like to be a better leader in your workplace and a voice for change? These are such big issues – what can we actually do about it?

This participatory workshop is designed to give you practical tools for building union solidarity within your workplace. This 2 hour session will help you to engage in effective conversations to build unity and solidarity among those you work with. Learn more at wslc.org/race-and-labor.

Interconnection of Race and Labor History will be held Thursday Nov. 18th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Interpretation and closed captioning available upon request. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access to participate virtually.

Learning Objectives:  
At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:
- Talk about the importance of undoing racism in workplace
- Connect with other union members in Eastern WA, North Idaho and Spokane on topics related to:
   - Harassment at Work
  -  History of racism as a tool to divide the working class
  -  Building Solidarity across race and ethnicity

¿Cómo hablamos con miembros y compañeros de trabajo que piensan de manera diferente a nosotros (política, justicia racial y de género, membresía, etc.)? ¿Le gustaría ser un mejor líder en su lugar de trabajo y una voz para el cambio? Estos son problemas tan importantes, ¿qué podemos hacer realmente al respecto?

Este taller participativo está diseñado para brindarle herramientas prácticas para construir la solidaridad sindical en su lugar de trabajo. Objetivos de aprendizaje:
